خانم مریم ویس زاده ( نیوسات ولز)
موسس و رئیس
خانم مریم ویس زاده که به عنوان یک زن مسلمان با حجاب شخصا سطح بالایی از اسلام هراسی را تجربه کرده بود، در سال 2016 مرکز اسلام هراسی در استرالیا را تاسیس نمود.
او یک مدافع اجتماعی برنده جایز ضد نژادپرستی، وکیل سابق، کارشناس تنوع فرهنگی و فراگیری، نویسنده همکار و مفسر اجتماعی است.
در سال 2021، خانم مریم به سمت مدیر عامل تنوع رسانه ای استرالیا
منصوب شد.
او عضو چندین هیات مدیره ازجمله ،رئیس مشترک مرکز زنان مسلمان برای حقوق بشر و سازمات دیده بان ما (Our Watch) می باشد.
او همچنین یک از اعضای اجرایی شبکه حمایتی افغانستانی استرالیایی، عضو گروه مشاوره چندفرهنگی در کمیسیون حقوق بشراسترالیا وعضو هیات مشاوره در Welcoming Australia است.
خانم مریم همچنین در TEDxSydney سخنرانی داشته است و توسط کمیسیون حقوق بشر استرالیا به عنوان قهرمان مبارزه با نژادپرستی معرفی شده است.
به عنوان یک مدافع اجتماعی شجاع ، برای خانم مریم مقابله با اسلام هراسی و در عین حال قربانی آن بودن امری عادیست.
در سال 2015 در حالی که تنها به خاطر صحبت کردن علیه تعصب چندین ماه زورگویی مجازی را تحمل می کرد، تیتر خبرهای جهانی شد. استرالیایی ها با استفاده از هشتگ #IstandwithMariam از او پشتیبانی کردند.
خانم مریم افتخارات زیادی کسب کرده است، از جمله، دریافت جایزه شهروند برترآسیایی- استرالیایی سال 2023، برنده جایزه برترین شخص حرفه ای، دریافت جایزه فارغ التحصیلان دانشگاه غرب سیدنی در سال 2022، جایزه زن سال، جایزه الگوی سال و جایزه دستاورد مسلمانان در سال 2015.
دکتر سوزان کارلند(ویکتوریا)
خانم دکتر سوزان کارلند یک دانشگاهی، نویسنده و مفسر اجتماعی است. او دارای مدرک دکترا از دانشکده علوم اجتماعی دانشگاه موناش، همکار مرکزتحقیقات اولیه شغلی اکتشاف (DECRA) و موسسه آموزش عالی چرچیل است که در زمینه محدوده تقاطع جنسیت و اسلام هراسی مشغول به تحقیق می باشد. روزنامه The Age او را در فهرست 20 نفر از بانفوذترین صدای های زن استرالیایی قرار داده است؛ او در فهرست 500 مسلمان تاثیرگذار جهان قرار گرفته است و توسط اتحادیه تمدن های سازمان ملل به عنوان “رهبر مسلمان فردا” معرفی شده است. او در سال 2022 فینالیست ملی جایزه ” رهبر نوظهور” در آموزش عالی؛ اعطا شده توسط
Australian Financial Review بوده است و در مورد تحقیقات خود در زمینه زنان مسلمان در سازمان ملل در ژنو سخنرانی داشته است. خانم سوزان اخیرا مقاله ای تحت عنوان جنگ با کلمات: یک تحلیل رسانه ای مقدماتی درمورد جنگ سال 2023 بین اسرائیل و غزه نوشته است، گزارشی که به درخواست مرکز ثبت؛ تحریر شده است وبه تاثیر گزارش رسانه ها بر اسلام هراسی می پردازد.
آقای هلال یاسین ( نیوسات ولز)
آقای هلال یاسین یک کارآفرین و مدیر تجاری مجرب با سابقه گسترده در تجارت، مدیریت و حقوق می باشد. آقای هلال مدیر عامل گروه
First Quay Capital
بوده و به عنوان مدیر غیر اجرایی
(ASX listed) DomaCom، Crescent Group و چندین شرکت خصوصی خانوادگی مشغول به فعالیت می باشد. آقای هلال دارای مدرک لیسانس در هر دو رشته بازرگانی و حقوق ( دانشگاه نیو سات ولز، سیدنی) و کارشناسی ارشد مدیریت بازرگانی است. آقای هلال همچنین فارغ التحصیل موسسه استرالیایی مدیران شرکت ها ((AICD
است و به عنوان وکیل دادگستری در دادگاه عالی نیو سات ولز و دادگاه عالی استرالیا فعالیت می کند.
خانم سیلما احرام ( استرالیای جنوبی)
خانم سیلما از زمان تاسیس دبستان مسلمین النوری در سال 1983 به عنوان یک مربی آموزش و پرورش مشغول به کار بوده است و تقریبا برای مدت چهل سال به طور مداو م در آموزش و پرورش فعالیت نموده است. او بنیانگذار دو مدرسه اسلامی و یک کالج فنی حرفه ای می باشد. او در این مدت بعنوان مدیر در چهار مدرسه فعالیت داشته است. او که در سال 1976 مسلمان شده است، از دهه 70 یک عضو فعال انجمن های زنان مسلمان و یک فعال اجتماعی و سخنگوی تقریبا دایمی رسانه ای بوده است. او همچنین یکی از اعضای موسس شورای استرالیا برای آموزش اسلامی در مدارس بوده است. خانم سیلما تحقیقاتی در زمینه جوانان مسلمان در سیدنی، نوکیشان مسلمان زن و و موانعی که زنان مسلمان برای اشتغال با آنها مواجه هستند و اخیرا در رابطه با آموزش اسلامی انجام داده است. او دریافت کننده مدال “صدمین سالگرد” برای فعالیت های اجتماعی خود می باشد. خانم سیلما درحال حاضر مشغول تحصیل در رشته کشت پایا است و در سمت مشاور آموزشی مشغول به کار می باشد.
Professor Troy Meston (QLD)
Professor Troy Meston is an accomplished Aboriginal researcher and teacher leader from the Gamilaroi people of Southwestern Queensland (QLD).
He is the First Nations Research Lead in the Gulbali Institute and the One Basin Cooperative Research Centre. He is a multidisciplinary researcher whose work employs critical Indigenous studies and decolonial praxis to advance Indigenous social justice and self-determination.
Prof. Meston specialises in Indigenous research methodologies, innovative research design, culturally responsive curriculum and assessment construction, and implementation of pedagogies which privilege Indigenous ways of being, knowing and doing and elevate suppressed Indigenous histories and voices. He is a former Research Fellow with the Australian Council for Educational Research, where he produced outputs for the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Australian Securities and Investments Commission, the ARC Science of Learning Research Centre, and holds an appointment as an associate investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child.
خانم مبینا احمد ( نیو سات ولز)
خانم مبینا احمد یک استراتژیست دیجیتال، دانشگاهی، نویسنده، مربی، سخنران عمومی، شخصیت رسانه ای و مربی در رسانه های اجتماعی است. او بدلیل توسعه نظریه دوستی اجتماعی-فرهنگی در سال ،2015 فردی شناخته شده است. خانم مبینا با مشارکت در کارهای اجتماعی به مدت پانزده سال به جامعه چندفرهنگی بین ادیان خدمت کرده است. او در رسانه های مطرح جهانی به نمایندگی از ایده ها، کار های اجتماعی، مذهب و هویت خود ظاهر شده است.
خانم مبینا فردی مجرب در امور تجاری و مدیریت با بیش از پانزده سال تجربه مدیریت پیشرو در زمینه های مختلف از جمله رسانه ها، شرکت های تجاری، جامعه، عدالت اجتماعی و اجرایی کردن راهکارها می باشد.
Hoosein Ismail (WA)
BOARD TREASURER
Hoosein was born and raised in South Africa. From the struggles of apartheid in South Africa to his work with communities and WA state government agencies, Hoosein has spent his life in the service of others and is committed to bringing people together in the spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
During the 1980’s he resisted apartheid in South Africa and on moving to New Zealand in 1999, he worked with migrant communities to help them integrate in their new found home. In Western Australia he continues to do the same whilst also serving on numerous boards, committees and not for profit management teams.
Hoosein serves on the WA Police Advisory board for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities as well as the Community Grants Program Assessment Panel appointed by the Minister of Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs. Additionally, he serves as Treasurer for the Al Hidayah Centre and the Bennett Springs Residents Association. In 2019 Hoosein’s contribution for his advocacy for Human Rights was featured at an exhibition in Fremantle by the United Nations.
Captain Mona Shindy (NSW)
Captain Mona Shindy, CSC is a retired Naval officer with over 30 years of military and business experience. Drawing upon strong academic credentials and the lessons and skills gained throughout a truly inspiring career, Captain Shindy now imparts knowledge to others as an international keynote speaker and strategic leadership and management consultant.
With degree qualifications in Engineering, Commerce (Advanced Major in Organisation and Management Studies) and Arts (Masters in Politics and Policy), Mona has been a trailblazer in male dominated environments, consistently delivering outstanding organisational outcomes.
In 2015 she was recognised as the National Telstra Business Woman of the Year and was awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross in the Australia Day honours list for outstanding service as a strategic intercultural advisor.
CAPT Shindy is now a highly sought after author, speaker and strategic business leadership and management advisor. Her Foundation focuses on supporting and advocating for traditionally marginalised groups through philanthropic and charitable endeavours.
Sabreen Hussain (NSW)
BOARD SECRETARY
Sabreen Hussain is a lawyer in the Disputes and Litigation team at Allens, a leading international commercial law firm. She is an Executive Member of the Muslim Legal Network (NSW), and a Portfolio Manager of Diverse Women in Law. She holds an Arts/Laws degree with a major in Politics and International Relations and a minor in Global Business from UNSW. Sabreen is passionate advocate for the rights and opportunities of marginalised and disadvantaged communities, and was a 2023 finalist for Australia’s Stellar South Asian Women Awards (Community and Advocacy).

Dr Naser Alziyadat (WA)
Dr. Naser Alziyadat is a strategic planner and researcher with extensive international experience. He has published extensively on corporate social responsibility (CSR), focusing on political economics, ethical frameworks, and sustainability. Holding a PhD from Durham University Business School, he has also received training from leading
global organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and Accountability Standards.
He is also recognised for his think tank affiliations, public speaking, and leadership in community service. Currently based in Perth, Australia, he actively contributes to initiatives that promote dialogue, cultural understanding, and civic engagement. His dedication to education and research has earned him several awards and nominations for excellence in learning and teaching. With over two decades of experience in economic and finance consultancy, he has worked in more than 50 cities worldwide, enhancing his strategic planning and cross-cultural engagement expertise. He has held
leadership roles, including Director of Strategic Planning for major organisations in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Rasha Abbas (VIC)
Rasha Abbas is the CEO of InTouch, specialist family violence provider dedicated to assisting migrant and refugee women. Prior to her current role, Rasha served as the General Manager Program Delivery at CBA, Executive General Manager Business Banking at NAB, and General Manager Simplification and Head of Projects at ANZ. Rasha has deep commitment to community service and works across the Muslim, Palestinian, Arab and refugee communities. Rasha particularly focuses on coaching the youth, promoting positive mindset, and fostering leadership and excellence. Rasha is also a member of the Digital Strategy Board Committee at the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI). Rasha holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Melbourne, a Master of Applied Science in Information Technology from RMIT University, and a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Kuwait University.
Reem Burrows (NSW)
Born and raised in Haifa, Reem immigrated to Australia with her family at the age of 14. Reem Borrows is an accomplished author, speaker, coach, and leadership consultant with a passion for seeking justice for Palestinians and Jews from the River to the Sea. For over 20 years, Reem has worked in executive and senior leadership roles, building high-performing teams across the areas of sales, marketing, and training. In 2020, she was awarded Australia’s Best Corporate Trainer and is a current executive board member of the Arab Australian Business Council. Reem is the founder and director of Dreem Coaching and Consulting, helping people and organisations achieve meaningful growth. Reem holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resources and Industrial Relations. She recently published her book ‘From the River to the Sea, Humanising Freedom.’
